Announcing the Women’s First Network Six-Week Accelerator: Empowering Women in Trauma-Heavy Roles

We’re excited to launch our newest initiative at the Women’s First Network: a six-week, fully online Accelerator program crafted specifically for women working in trauma-related roles. This unique program is designed to empower women by providing the tools, support, and community they need to thrive in challenging environments.

If you’re in healthcare, public safety, social work, mental health, or any role that regularly exposes you to primary or secondary trauma, this program was built with you in mind. Through a blend of trauma-informed coaching, career development, and confidence-building sessions, the Accelerator aims to transform the way women in these fields approach their work and well-being.

Why This Accelerator?

In trauma-focused professions, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, under-supported, and at risk of burnout. The Women’s First Network Accelerator addresses these issues head-on, equipping women with actionable strategies to enhance resilience, build confidence, and take control of their professional development. We believe that with the right skills and support, women can thrive—not just survive—in these vital yet demanding roles.

What You’ll Learn

Each week of the Accelerator focuses on a core theme, providing participants with knowledge, skills, and tools to make a positive, lasting impact on their careers and personal lives. Here’s a look at what’s in store:

  • Week 1: Foundations of Trauma-Informed Work
Start by understanding the principles of trauma-informed care and how to apply these concepts in daily interactions. Learn to recognize and manage trauma responses in yourself and others to create a safer, more supportive work environment.

  • Week 2: Building Emotional Resilience and Self-Care
Develop a personalized self-care toolkit and practice resilience techniques to manage stress and prevent burnout. This week provides practical methods to support your well-being as you continue to care for others.

  • Week 3: Communication and Boundary Setting
Discover strategies for effective communication, even in high-stress situations, and learn how to set healthy boundaries. These skills are essential for maintaining a sustainable balance between empathy and self-preservation.

  • Week 4: Confidence Building and Leadership Skills
Dive into methods for building self-confidence and exploring your leadership potential. This week focuses on overcoming self-doubt, identifying your unique strengths, and setting goals for your professional journey.

  • Week 5: Career Development and Goal Setting
Map out your career aspirations and learn how to set realistic, actionable goals. You’ll also explore strategies for career advancement, mentorship, and building a strong professional network.

  • Week 6: Creating a Sustainable Plan for Growth
Reflect on what you’ve learned, consolidate key takeaways, and create a personal growth plan that you can follow beyond the Accelerator. We’ll provide ongoing resources and support options to keep you connected.

The cost of this type of program would usually cost around $1,400 per person but due to our generous supporters and sponsors, this will be waived for all deserving participants.
